A longtime vegetarian, I have been to ION many times when Mark Shadle was the chef. Loved supporting local, organic food where possible. But didn't go to this place often because I found myself disappointed every time by bland food.
Was hoping this would not follow to their new venture Gzen, but sadly, it is so. Some of the food was ok, but still half our meals were just eh, ok. Not at all what I expect for the prices. And they talk like their food is all healthy, but it's stuff like pizza and burgers, fries and other vegan junk food.
Like I said, we like to support local businesses who have an eye to supporting organic farming practices, but I just can't afford to waste my eating out dollars on this place when pale flavors prevail.
