Food at the Elbow Room is affordable and comfortable, and more than a little fun and adventurous. It classifird its eats as “rejuvenated comfort food,” while the large and spacious rooftop patio is cozy and inviting in its own right, especially on pleasant summer evenings. A funky, formidable wine list and an adventurous menu add to the easy-going, yet stylish, atmosphere.
Spring is here, and summer’s not too far off. The season for outdoor dining has begun, and the restaurant of choice is West Hartford’s The Elbow Room. “We have an upstairs restaurant and bar,” said manager Faria Sultana. “The view is the center of the center. You get a view of LaSalle Road and Farmington Avenue both ways.” As Sultana explained, the restaurant opens their top deck at around 11 a.m., and it stays open until last call, roughly midnight. "People love it because of the atmosphere,” Sultana said. “Just having the hot and cool atmosphere, sitting out in the sun in the fresh air, getting a nice tan."
